Mazen Khattab, M.D., C.P.E., joined City of Hope® in 2023. As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Khattab focuses his practice on the treatment and management of all types and stages of cancer, with specialized expertise in breast, lung, gastrointestinal malignancies and hematologic conditions. With the wide array of resources that City of Hope devotes to patient care and innovation, Dr. Khattab incorporates the latest treatments, according to the NCCN guidelines, and remains abreast of new protocols and clinical trials.
Shana Wingo, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Gynecologic Oncologist
Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Surgery
Shana Wingo, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., joined City of Hope Phoenix in 2023. As a gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Wingo focuses her practice on the diagnosis and management of all types and stages of gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, cervical, uterine, endometrial and vulvar cancers, with a special interest in emerging innovations in surgery and immunotherapies. She has extensive expertise in complex pelvic surgery and minimally invasive surgery, which includes robotic-assisted surgery, having performed over 3,000 such procedures. Dr. Wingo is a comprehensive gynecologic oncologist, performing a wide range of surgeries, administering systemic and targeted chemotherapies and partnering with a multidisciplinary group of subspecialists to provide patients with the full spectrum of options, from diagnosis through survivorship.
Marnee Spierer, M.D.
Chief of Radiation Oncology
Radiation Oncologist
Dr. Marnee Spierer joined City of Hope Phoenix in 2014 as a radiation oncologist and currently serves as the Chief of Radiation Oncology. In her role as a radiation oncologist, Dr. Spierer provides radiation treatment for all types and stages of cancer, with a special focus on breast and gynecologic cancers. As part of a multidisciplinary team of cancer specialists, Dr. Spierer has extensive expertise in leading-edge radiation techniques for both therapeutic and palliative treatment.
