The Gynecologic Cancer Program at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix is committed to offering specialized, collaborative care to treat all stages of gynecologic cancers, including early-stage, advanced-stage and recurrent ovarian, cervical, uterine/endometrial, vaginal, vulvar and fallopian tube diseases. Our program provides a uniquely individualized, world-class cancer care experience for gynecologic cancer patients.
Our program is led by a multidisciplinary team of experts specializing in gynecologic cancer, including surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists and supportive care team members. Several of our physicians hold faculty positions at City of Hope and have obtained unique certifications.
Gynecologic Oncologist
Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Surgery
Shana Wingo, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., joined City of Hope Phoenix in 2023. As a gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Wingo focuses her practice on the diagnosis and management of all types and stages of gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, cervical, uterine, endometrial and vulvar cancers, with a special interest in emerging innovations in surgery and immunotherapies. She has extensive expertise in complex pelvic surgery and minimally invasive surgery, which includes robotic-assisted surgery, having performed over 3,000 such procedures. Dr. Wingo is a comprehensive gynecologic oncologist, performing a wide range of surgeries, administering systemic and targeted chemotherapies and partnering with a multidisciplinary group of subspecialists to provide patients with the full spectrum of options, from diagnosis through survivorship.

Snehal Bhoola, M.D., joined City of Hope in 2023. As a gynecologic oncologist, Dr. Bhoola focuses his practice on the diagnosis and management of all types and stages of gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian, cervical, uterine, endometrial and vulvar cancers, with a special focus on novel therapies for ovarian cancer and cervical cancer prevention. Having performed over 3,500 robotic surgeries, Dr. Bhoola is an expert in the surgical management of gynecologic malignancies. He works with a multidisciplinary team of subspecialists, providing all aspects of cancer care to women with gynecologic malignancies, from diagnosis through survivorship.
