The Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation at City of Hope® offers patients across Southern California access to advanced, multidisciplinary care for all types of hematologic cancers, as well as a wide range of non-cancerous blood disorders. City of Hope’s stem cell transplant program is the largest and one of the most successful in the United States, and we’ve been recognized among the nation’s top “Best Hospitals” for cancer for nearly two decades by U.S. News & World Report, which has also repeatedly rated us as “high performing” in leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma care.
City of Hope focuses on offering personalized care for hematologic disorders that combine comprehensive treatment with breakthrough therapies and access to innovative clinical trials. We also offer access to advanced options such as tumor profiling, immunotherapy, and bone marrow and stem cell transplantation. Our hematology department is led by dedicated clinical teams for every type of blood cancer, as well as nationally recognized experts in non-cancerous disorders like amyloidosis and myelodysplastic syndrome.
At City of Hope, our hematology experts collaborate to provide leading-edge care for every patient. In addition to a multidisciplinary approach in the clinic, many of our physicians are directly involved in translational research focused on developing new techniques and therapies to improve outcomes and quality of life for those with blood cancer or blood disorders. Patients who are referred to us benefit from many offerings, including those listed below.
City of Hope’s comprehensive hematologic malignancies team works in partnership with referring physicians and other clinical providers across California to make the transition from primary care to specialist evaluation and treatment as smooth and comfortable as possible.
