Clinical Services at City of Hope Downtown Chicago
At City of Hope, our clinical experts have one collective goal: to treat cancer with precision and compassion. We offer a range of oncology services at our downtown location, including:
- Advanced genomic testing
- Dermatologic oncology
- Hematologic oncology
- Medical oncology
- Radiation oncology
- Surgical oncology consultations
- Integrative and support services
Our location offers four infusion bays and two radiation oncology vaults, allowing patients to receive outpatient treatment close to home or work. Patients requiring advanced treatments, such as CAR T cell therapy, stem cell transplantations or surgeries, may receive care at our hospital in Zion, Illinois, located an hour north of the city.
We are Upgrading Our Technology
NOW AVAILABLE: City of Hope Downtown Chicago is proud to be one of the first practices in Chicago to implement the Ethos™ therapy system, a next generation platform that integrates artificial intelligence–driven adaptive radiation therapy with real time imaging. Unlike traditional treatment plans that rely on anatomy captured before therapy begins, patients are re-imaged prior to every treatment session so our radiation oncology team can adjust for daily anatomical changes, including tumor evolution, organ movement or shifts in body habitus. These adaptive updates occur in real time, eliminating the need for delays commonly associated with re-simulation.
COMING SOON: In late March, City of Hope Downtown Chicago will offer Biograph mCT by Siemens, a PET/CT simulator, expanding both our diagnostic and radiation therapy planning capabilities. Our center will be among only a few systems to leverage this technology in a tri modality capacity, using it as both an advanced PET/CT scanner and a radiation therapy CT simulator, to enhance efficiency and consistency across the care continuum.
Our Patient Care Approach
At City of Hope Downtown Chicago, we believe in providing a personalized experience and treatment plan for each patient, while moving with speed to help reduce anxiety. As part of our care model, we:
- Can see patients in as little as 24 hours after referral
- Offer complete staging, including imaging, biopsy and consultation by our entire team, within one week
- Strive to make ourselves available to patients to help manage any treatment toxicities and answer questions, so they feel informed and empowered
- Provide extended treatment hours so patients have more options
Our Commitment to Collaboration
At City of Hope Downtown Chicago, we want you to view us as partners in the care of your patients. Should you want to collaborate on any cases, we will immediately schedule your patient for an appointment and keep you informed of our recommended plan. Additionally, we will work with you to transition him or her back into your care through an appropriate and agreed-upon timeline.
We also welcome the opportunity to coordinate second opinions for confirmation of diagnosis and treatment plan, expedited access to treatment and advanced cases that require specialized care or technology.
